Recently, there are quite a few graduate students asking me about the UIUC dental insurances. some of you do not even know if you have dental insurance.
1. All graduate students at UIUC with RA, TA or fellowship, the school already paid the insurance premium for you, so you automatically have delta dental insurance.
2. If you do not have any financial aid or employment with the school, at the beginning of each semester, you will have the choice getting the dental insurance by paying some premium..
3. the coverage, all the basic exam, x-rays and basic cleaning(not deep cleaning) are covered at 100%. they do cover fillings, root canals , crowns and even implants. the coverage is at 40-60%..
4. If you come to our office, we will let you know your copay before we start doing anything.
